The all-new revamped 2017 Ridgeline was recently awarded 2017 North American Truck of the Year by an independent panel consisting of more than 50 members of the North American automotive media. For the first two generations of its life, the Honda Pilot was instantly recognizable by both its blocky styling and reputation as a stellar three-row family hauler. Now in its third generation, the Pilot refines its looks without losing any of the family-friendly values that have made it so popular. In fact, it’s even entered “upscale” territory in some areas.

For over a decade, the will of Honda enthusiasts has been quite clear: American drivers wanted the Civic hatchback to be available in the U.S., and many even hoped for a TYPE R hot hatch. Yet, these wishes fell on deaf ears until 2015, when Honda announced it was combining its Civic line into one global product (the overseas model has always had different styling), and would be bringing both the hatch and TYPE R models to the U.S.

After decades of waiting, it’s finally coming. We’re talking about the Honda Civic TYPE R, of course. After the most recent redesign in Europe ignited renewed hopes of a U.S. debut, our preferred automaker didn’t budge until it unveiled its plans for the 10th generation in 2015. Now, at long last, we’re getting our first look at the U.S.-bound model.

It’s been well over a decade since a five-door hatch was offered with the Honda Civic in North America, and today we’re proud to say the drought has ended. If you’re a fan of the brand, you’re sure to know by now that it’s been a year and a half since the Japanese automaker announced its intentions to offer a Civic hatch with the tenth generation model, and now, we’re selling it at our dealership!
